These vintage Christmas embroidery designs are inspired by 1980s Calhoun Sportswear fabric.
It all started with inheriting fabric from a friend who was downsizing. Little did I know I would be speeding down the rabbit hole, or rather, going sideways in a red herring.
These vintage Christmas characters are so damn cute! I had to digitize!
But the real story is why a sportswear company made cotton quilting fabric in the 1980s. It started in a basesment with a single screen printer. They wobbled along until they found their calling. One of their wobbles was this funny Christmas fabric. Thank you Calhoun! I love my vintage Christmas embroidery designs!
